Enzymes and Probiotics

addlifeAdding Life to Cooked Food

Remember that the dog (coming from the wolf), and the cat (from the wild cat), would normally eat prey, which is fresh, raw, and alive. When we feed cooked food, even healthy, all-natural pet food like Flint River Ranch Super Premium as I recommend, the cooking destroys the “life” quality of that food (see The Missing Ingredient).

Here, then, is a great product called called AddLife to use in The B+ Plan to get that very important missing ingredient in your animal’s diet. This is specifically tailored to the needs of dogs and cats, and is made to shake on easily and conveniently before serving food. In addition to natural sources of enzymes and probiotics, AddLife provides some very high quality meat protein, the antioxidants of the blueberry, and the goodness of wheat and barley grass, among other well thought out ingredients.

A caution that’s really interesting: If you premix this with food you prepare ahead and store in the refrigerator, it will slowly digest that food, even in storage! This is not a bad thing per se, but it will make a solid food soupy over time. So, it’s best to add this just before serving to maintain the most appealing consistency for your pet to eat.

People: You might like your own enzyme/probiotic supplement if you see the logic here, and eat a mostly cooked diet. I've used this one myself, and like it as an easy caplet to swallow with a meal.
